virtual classes on zoom faq

Max Volume!!!

Ensure your speaker is at max volume by going into your audio settings and pulling the dial to max. Once the class has begun, ensure you are on mute.

Do I have to leave my video on?

You are not required to leave your video on for the duration of class. We do ask that you start with your video on so that we can see you and welcome you to class. You are then welcome to turn off your video if you feel more comfortable. At the end of class, please turn your video back on to say goodbye. This is a way for your instructor to check in with you and make sure you have the best experience possible!

It says the meeting is being recorded!?!

We record every Zoom class to send the recording to anyone who is signed-up for class but unable to attend. Please note, the recording is only of the teacher. You are NOT being filmed!

Zoom Instructions and Best Practices

  • you must have access to a wifi connection

  • a laptop computer, tablet, iPad, or smartphone device

  • when you go into zoom be sure to click the options when they pop up that allow you audio and video

  • please make sure your audio is muted once the class begins

  • if you find your video keeps buffering your wifi connection may not be strong enough to support video. You can switch to just audio and still do the class, but we won’t be able to see you

  • you may choose to turn off your video if you feel more comfortable
